Dr. Bekhit joined Beattie Pet Hospital in Burlington in 2024, bringing over 20 years of veterinary experience to the team. His career began in Egypt, where he cared for large animals, and he has since specialized in small animal general medicine and surgery in Canada. Throughout his career, Dr. Bekhit has developed a particular passion for the challenges of surgery and internal medicine, areas in which he excels.

Having spent much of his career working emergency hours, Dr. Bekhit has extensive experience in handling complex and critical cases. He believes deeply that pets are an essential part of the family, and he is committed to providing them with only the highest quality care.

A life-long learner, Dr. Bekhit continually refines his skills through annual continuing education courses and seminars, ensuring that he stays at the forefront of veterinary medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his lovely family and playing table tennis in his spare time.
