Dr. Nozomi Murota

Dr. Nozomi Murota is a dedicated Veterinarian and she has been a valued team member since she started with us in 2018. Her passion for animals began at a young age when she completed a research project in primary school on endangered species, with a focus on polar bears. This early interest in wildlife sparked a lifelong fascination with animals. While Dr. Murota originally considered pursuing a career in wildlife research, she ultimately decided against it. Instead, she chose to channel her love for animals into veterinary medicine, earning her degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2018.

What Dr. Murota enjoys most about her work is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with both the animals and their owners. She particularly values watching pets grow up, especially when she has the privilege of getting to know them as puppies or kittens and continuing to care for them throughout their lives. Her approach to veterinary care emphasizes the importance of understanding the unique needs and concerns of each pet and their owner. This allows her to provide personalized care that ensures the wellbeing and quality of life for the animals she treats.

Dr. Murota has a strong passion for integrative medicine, blending both Western and Eastern approaches to help animals live their healthiest lives. She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, a certification that complements her integrative approach to veterinary care. By combining the best of both practices, Dr. Murota is able to provide comprehensive care that addresses not only the symptoms of illness but also promotes long-term wellness.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Murota enjoys teaching her pets new tricks, whether it's her dogs, Gary (a mixed breed) and Kai (a Mini Aussie), or her cats, Shippo (a tortoiseshell domestic short hair) and Chakkun (an orange tabby domestic short hair). She also enjoys gaming as a way to relax and unwind after a busy day.
