Associate Veterinarian, Acupuncturist
Dr. Steve Hotten
Dr. Hotten’s passion for veterinary medicine began with his fascination for the diversity of the field. The opportunity to work with different species and navigate the complexities of various medical conditions drew him to this career. After graduating from university in 2002, he dedicated himself to advocating for animals and ensuring they receive the best possible care. Dr Hotten feels it is important to speak for the animals since they cannot speak for themselves.
His areas of special expertise include Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), medical manipulation, laser therapy, and surgery. These advanced techniques allow him to provide a well-rounded approach to treatment, combining both modern and alternative therapies to promote healing and overall wellness in his patients.
Dr. Hotten strongly believes in open communication with pet owners, recognizing that the best healthcare outcomes come from working as a team. He takes the time to educate clients, discuss treatment options, and ensure they feel confident in their pet’s care plan. His goal is to build lasting relationships based on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to pet health.
Beyond his work at the clinic, Dr. Hotten enjoys spending quality time with his two children. Whether at home or outdoors, he values making memories with his family and embracing the moments that life has to offer. His dedication to both his profession and his personal life reflects his compassionate and well-rounded approach to veterinary medicine.
