Enrique is a dedicated veterinary technician at Beattie Pet Hospital Burlington, having joined the team in 2017. Originally from Mexico, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics from the University of Nuevo Leon in 2004. Afterward, Enrique furthered his education with a certification in Internal Medicine and Surgery in Dogs and Cats. Before moving to Ontario in 2017, he spent time in Alberta working as a cowboy, managing the health of cattle in a feedlot. 

Enrique’s passion for animals began in childhood, driven by his fascination with how animals’ bodies function and his desire to care for them. He has a particular interest in internal medicine and reproduction in dogs. His approach to pet care emphasizes understanding both animal and owner behavior to ensure the best outcomes for their furry family members. The most rewarding part of his job is seeing pet owners leave the hospital with their animals happy, healthy, and pain-free.

Outside of work, Enrique enjoys playing video games, building with Legos, practicing photography and spending time with his three children. While he no longer has pets of his own, he previously bred Beagles and Jack Russell's in Mexico.
