Assistant (Part time)

Kirsten

Kirsten is a part time veterinary assistant, having joined the team as a full time assistant in 2019. In addition to her work at the clinic, Kirsten works full-time as a welder, but her love for animals and desire to care for them led her to continue her role with us on a part time basis. She enjoys combining her technical skills with her passion for animal care, especially in a clinical setting.

What Kirsten enjoys most about working with animals is the opportunity to collaborate with pet owners to ensure the health and happiness of their pets, with the goal of helping them live long, healthy lives. She finds fulfillment in knowing that her work contributes to the well-being of animals and supports their relationships with their owners.

While Kirsten enjoys all aspects of her role, she has a particular interest in assisting with surgeries and working closely with the veterinary team during those procedures. Her approach to pet care is rooted in compassion, aiming to make every visit as stress-free as possible for the animals. She strives to advocate for the pets she cares for, ensuring they receive the best possible care in every situation.

Outside of work, Kirsten is a passionate welder, making custom furniture and decor. She also enjoys horseback riding, and when time allows, she loves reading. At home, Kirsten is a proud pet owner to Duke, a 19-year-old thoroughbred; Remington, a 10-year-old tabby cat; Biggie, an 8-year-old Bullmastiff; and Chomper, a 5-year-old English/French Bulldog mix.
