Paula joined Beattie Pet Hospital Burlington in 2021 as a Veterinary Assistant, driven by her love for animals and her desire to make a positive difference. With a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph, which she earned in 2021, Paula is deeply interested in the medicine and science behind veterinary care, although she finds it difficult to choose just one area of focus due to her wide range of scientific interests.

What Paula enjoys most about her role is getting the opportunity to help animals and their owners, building lasting relationships along the way. She approaches pet care with patience, kindness, and a genuine interest in listening to clients' concerns, ensuring that every visit is as positive as possible for both the pets and their families. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing sick animals recover and thrive, and she treasures the chance to meet and learn from new patients and their owners.

Outside of work, Paula enjoys reading, hiking, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She shares her home with her beloved cat, Evie, a domestic longhair who is a cherished part of her life.
